OtoBookConverter privacy policy
OtoBookConverter keeps your information on your device. We do not run a server that collects or stores it, we do not sell it, and we show no ads.
What OtoBookConverter keeps, and where
OtoBookConverter stores the books you choose to convert, the converted copies and your settings on your device, inside the app's own storage or in folders you choose. We (Michael's Crossing International, LLC) cannot see this information.
OtoBookConverter works only with books that have no copy protection. It refuses protected files.
Optional cloud sync and backup
If you turn on sync or backup, OtoBookConverter copies your data to your own Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive account, so you can use it on your other devices. You sign in directly with Google or Microsoft; we never see your password. OtoBookConverter asks only for access to the files it creates itself, not your other files. The copy lives in your account, under Google's or Microsoft's privacy policy, and you can delete it at any time. You can also save a plain backup file on your device instead.
Other services
Apart from the optional cloud sync and Google Play described here, OtoBookConverter does not send your information to anyone.
Permissions
- Files and folders you pick: to read the books you choose and save the converted copies where you say.
- Local network (optional): only if you use the computer link to send books between your phone and your own computer on the same Wi-Fi. Books travel directly between your devices.
Purchases
OtoBookConverter is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never receive your card details. Google shares limited order information with us (such as the order number, the item, and your country or region) so we can handle refunds and taxes.
Crash reports
OtoBookConverter contains no analytics or advertising code. If you allow it in your Android settings, Google may share anonymous crash and performance reports with us through Google Play. They do not contain your books, records or other content.
Children
OtoBookConverter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app keeps information only on the device, we hold no children's information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.
Deleting your data
- On your device: delete items inside the app, or clear the app's storage (Android Settings > Apps > OtoBookConverter > Storage > Clear storage), or uninstall the app.
- In your cloud: delete the OtoBookConverter folder or files in your Google Drive or OneDrive.
- Remove access: disconnect OtoBookConverter in its Settings, or remove it at myaccount.google.com/permissions (Google) or account.live.com/consent/Manage (Microsoft).
- Emails to us: ask us at support@michaelscrossing.com and we will delete your messages.
We have no account for you to delete, because OtoBookConverter does not create one.
Security
Your data is protected by your device's own security. Connections to Google and Microsoft use encryption (HTTPS). Keep your device locked and your cloud accounts protected.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Important changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
